The iPhone application community has been making some progress. The latest application is an NES emulator. Above you can see a video of the application in action. Right now there is no sound and the emulator runs to slowly to be really playable, but it’s a step in the right direction.
Our sister-site ThinkGaming has got all the news from Blizzard’s BlizzCon event! They have the latest news on Word of Warcraft and the recently announced Starcraft 2.
This is a really cool product that pretty much goes with everything. It is made up of four 1”X1.5” cubes that can be moved around independently. There is a separate controller to set the time, alarm, light dimmer, and the oh so precious snooze button. These will be available in red and black on August 20th.
External hard drives are always a plus to have around. Well our sister-site ThinkComputers got a chance to look at the LaCie D2 Extreme 320GB External Hard Drive in their latest review. From the review, "The LaCie D2 is probably the coolest looking external drive enclosure I have seen. It is made of machined aluminum alloy, then sandblasted to look like cast aluminum. The LaCie logo is stamped into each side. The front cover and baseplate are of cast aluminum. The D2 is a silver/gray color, with a slight sparkle due to the grainy surface. It doesn't look painted, but I assume that it is, since the color is uniform throughout." Make sure you check it out!
Every time I see new phones pop-up in Korea I wish I lived there. LG’s KC1 smartphone features WiBro (mobile WiMAX), which enables the phone to get Wi-Fi speeds pretty much anywhere you go. This fast speed opens up a lot more functionality on the phone like remote PC control, streaming videos, video calls, and all other high bandwidth applications that you could not use before. It also has a DMB for live TV, 2 mega-pixel camera, Bluetooth, A/V player, 512mb memory, microSD slot, and even a front camera for video calling. It is running Windows Mobile 5, but is still a phone I would buy IF we had the WiBro access to back it up. Read on for more pictures of the phone.
Now this is a HUGE digital photo frame. At 15-inches it is the biggest one that I have seen. Called the Gigantor it features a 1024X768 resolution, expansive memory card support, IR remote and the ability to hook up a external USB hard drive for even more storage. This thing sure would set off any desk, but with a price tag of $249 I’ll stick with my little 3”x2” Google digital photo frame that was free!
