![]() LightScribe drives are special drives that laser etch text and graphics onto special LightScribe discs (special CDs and DVDs). While in labelling mode it pretty much operates like a CD-ROM Drive in reverse, using a laser to burn the image onto the 'top side' of the disc. I have one of these and they work wonderfully. They add a little extra to your media. LightScribe released a free software download for its devices that apparently vastly increases the already pretty good image quality (see above).
