Digital SoundTouch Control Center
The Digital SoundTouch control Center is a powerful and easy to use device that gives you quick access to a variety of features of the Z-5500 speakers. The digital LCD screen provides a clear, crisp high contrast display that allows users to configure their ideal listening environment. When idle, the LCD shows the input and effect setting that are in use.

The control allows you to adjust the parameters of the digital surround sound effects, as well as the volume of each of the satellites including the center channel and subwoofer. The digital SoundTouch Control Center has been upgraded from its previous version with a sleeker design and an oversized, weighted control knob that feels a lot better than the old breakout box used by the Z-680.

The control center offers up to four source inputs. There's one digital optical and one digital coaxial input for DVD or CD player, PS2, Xbox or PC sound card with digital outputs. There's also a 6 channel direct input via 3 stereo mini plug for uses with 2, 4 or 6 channel sound cards. Lastly there's an analog stereo mini jack at the side of the box for portable CD or MP3 players. The box also has a headphone output for those time when you don't want to wake the sleeping girlfriend.

Wireless Remote Control

The Logitech Z-5500 Digital comes with the same remote control used by the Z-680. The remote is great for use with home theaters, PCs and video game consoles. Users can control all function of the speakers with the wireless remote control including volume, source selections and sound effects. Individual satellites and subwoofer level can also be adjusted with the remote.
